Overview

The Spring Independent School District (Spring ISD) Distribution Center supports over 34,000 students, spanning pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. It also caters to the Maintenance & Operation, Campus, and Child Nutrition inventory needs of the district. With a centralized receiving point for the entire district, the facility boasts nearly 6,000 pallet locations and 5,500 shelf locations. However, the legacy system posed significant challenges in fulfilling orders, prompting the need for a more efficient solution.

Comprehensive Discovery Exercise

Atlantis Consulting Group, in collaboration with Spring ISD users, conducted a thorough discovery exercise. This step was crucial to fully understand and document the internal processes of the Spring ISD Distribution Center. By mapping out current workflows and identifying pain points, the team ensured that the new system would address all existing issues effectively.

Integration of BM Mobile

BM Mobile was introduced to enhance warehouse operations. This mobile solution supported daily activities such as picking, packing, shipping, and labeling. By improving inventory data accessibility and reducing manual errors, BM Mobile contributed to more efficient and accurate operations.

BM Cloud ERP Implementation

The BM Cloud ERP solution was selected for its ability to provide a single, holistic view of inventory and replenishment processes. This state-of-the-art solution optimized the order fulfillment process, ensuring scalability, improved integration, and data consistency across the Distribution Center’s operations.

Training and Support

To ensure a smooth transition, Atlantis Consulting Group employed a phased training approach. They created a test site specifically for training on each process step, allowing users to become proficient with the new system before going live.
